Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 5 August 2026
Introduction
These terms and conditions govern your use of Shop Leather Jackets and any purchases you make through it. The website is operated by Metaleap Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16000256, with its registered office at 5 Darbyshire Close, Bolton, England, BL1 4BR.
By placing an order through our website you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before ordering. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the website or place an order.
For questions about these terms, contact us at contact@shopleatherjackets.com.
Definitions
“We”, “us” and “our” refer to Metaleap Ltd, trading as Shop Leather Jackets. “You” and “your” refer to the person placing an order or using the website. “Goods” refers to the leather jackets and related products listed on the website. “Order” refers to a request by you to purchase goods from us through the website. “Business days” means Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order on our website. By placing an order you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you provide is accurate and complete. We set this age requirement because contracts entered into by people under 18 are not fully enforceable under English law. If we discover that an order has been placed by someone under 18, we may cancel it and issue a full refund.
Products
All products sold on this website are leather jackets and related leather goods. Product images are provided for illustrative purposes and are intended to give a fair representation of the goods. Leather is a natural material, and minor variations in colour, texture and grain are inherent to genuine leather products. These variations are not defects and do not make the goods faulty or not as described. This does not affect your right to cancel a standard catalogue order within 14 days for any reason, as set out in our Refund and Returns Policy.
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions and specifications on the website are accurate at the time of publication. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions, images or other content on the website are entirely free from error.
How Your Order Is Fulfilled
Every jacket is finished to order in the size you select. Where a product page shows an item as available, it means we can accept your order and dispatch it within our standard dispatch window. Our standard dispatch time is 7 business days from order confirmation, with total delivery taking 10 to 14 business days inclusive of dispatch.
Finishing standard catalogue items to order, where you select from our existing designs, sizes and colours, does not remove your statutory cancellation and return rights. Standard orders remain subject to the 14-day cancellation period set out in our Refund and Returns Policy.
Orders placed through our custom leather jackets service, where you provide bespoke measurements, materials or design specifications, are made to your personal specifications and are exempt from the right to cancel under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, except where goods are faulty or not as described.
Pricing and Payment
All prices displayed on the website are in pounds sterling (GBP) and represent the total price payable. Metaleap Ltd is not currently registered for VAT. Should our VAT status change in future, prices will be updated accordingly and any applicable VAT will be shown clearly.
Where a product is shown with a reduced price alongside a higher reference price, the higher price is the price at which we previously offered that product for sale. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders for which we have already sent a dispatch confirmation.
Payment is taken at the time you place your order. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout, which are processed by Stripe. All payment transactions are encrypted using industry-standard security protocols and we do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
If we discover a pricing error after you have placed an order, we will contact you before dispatching the goods. You will then have the option to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
How Orders Work
When you place an order you are making an offer to purchase goods from us. We will send you an order acknowledgement email confirming that we have received your order. This acknowledgement does not constitute acceptance of your order.
A legally binding contract between you and us is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order before dispatch, including for product unavailability, pricing errors, suspected fraud or inability to verify your payment. If we cancel your order before dispatch, you will receive a full refund.
Delivery
Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy, and by placing an order you agree to the delivery terms set out in that policy. In summary, our standard dispatch time is 7 business days and total delivery time is 10 to 14 business days inclusive of dispatch.
Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. While we make every effort to deliver within the stated timeframe, delays may occur due to factors outside our control. If we have not delivered your order within 30 calendar days of the date your contract with us was formed, you may contact us to cancel the order and receive a full refund, in line with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery. Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full.
Cancellation and Returns
Your cancellation and return rights are set out in full in our Refund and Returns Policy. In summary, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, provided the goods are standard catalogue items and not custom or bespoke. You may also cancel at any time before the goods are dispatched.
Custom leather jackets made to your personal specifications are not eligible for cancellation or return except where the goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms.
Our Right to Cancel
We reserve the right to cancel any order before dispatch if the goods are unavailable, there has been a pricing or product description error, we are unable to process your payment, or we suspect the order to be fraudulent. Where we cancel your order we will notify you by email and issue a full refund to your original payment method.
Faulty or Misdescribed Goods
If goods are faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply. You have the right to reject goods within 30 calendar days of delivery for a full refund if they are of unsatisfactory quality, not fit for purpose or not as described. After 30 days and within six months of delivery we will offer a repair or replacement in the first instance; if a repair or replacement is not possible or is unsuccessful, you are entitled to a refund. After six months from delivery you may still have rights, but the burden is on you to show the goods were faulty at the time of delivery.
To report faulty or misdescribed goods, contact us at contact@shopleatherjackets.com with your order number, a description of the issue and photographs where possible.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, product designs and software, is owned by or licensed to Metaleap Ltd and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or use any content from this website without our prior written consent.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Where you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with your order or your use of the website shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the goods in question. Our exclusion of indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill, applies only where you are purchasing as a business and not as a consumer.
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where the delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government action, strikes, supply chain disruption or failures of third-party services.
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We have no control over the content, privacy policies or practices of those websites and accept no responsibility or liability for them. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk.
Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the website and placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and understood that policy.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you retain the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint, email contact@shopleatherjackets.com with your order number. We will acknowledge your complaint within two business days and aim to give you a full response within 14 calendar days.
We are not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme. If we cannot resolve your complaint between us, you can get free advice from Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133 or at citizensadvice.org.uk, and you retain the right to bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales.
The European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform has been discontinued and is no longer available. If you are a consumer based in the European Union and we cannot resolve your complaint directly, you can contact an approved alternative dispute resolution body in your country; your local European Consumer Centre can direct you to the right body. We would always prefer to resolve any complaint directly first, so please contact us at contact@shopleatherjackets.com.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Amendments
We reserve the right to update or amend these terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Changes will not apply retroactively to orders already placed: the terms that apply to your order are those in force on the date you place it. If you do not agree with revised terms, please stop using the website.
