Overview
This shipping policy applies to all orders placed through shopleatherjackets.com, operated by Metaleap Ltd. All products on our website are made to order. We do not hold pre-made stock. When you place an order, production of your item begins following order confirmation, which means our dispatch and delivery timescales reflect both the production and shipping stages.
Please read this policy before placing your order so you understand the expected timeframes.
Dispatch Time
All orders are dispatched within 7 business days of order confirmation. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales.
Order confirmation is sent by email after your payment has been successfully processed. Production of your item begins at this point. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email containing your tracking details.
Delivery Times
Total delivery time, inclusive of the dispatch window, is 10 to 14 business days from order confirmation. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. While we make every effort to deliver within the stated timeframe, occasional delays may occur due to factors outside our reasonable control, including weather, carrier disruptions, customs processing, or high demand periods.
If your order has not arrived within 30 calendar days of dispatch confirmation, contact us at contact@shopleatherjackets.com with your order number. You have the right to cancel the order and receive a full refund in accordance with your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
United Kingdom Delivery
We offer free delivery on all orders shipped within the United Kingdom, covering England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. There is no minimum order value for free delivery. All UK orders are shipped with a tracked delivery service so you can monitor your parcel at every stage.
European Union Delivery
We ship to EU member states. Delivery to the EU is free on all orders. EU delivery times may be slightly longer than UK timescales depending on the destination country, customs clearance, and local carrier handling.
You will receive a tracking number when your order is dispatched so you can follow its progress through to delivery.
Customs, Duties, and Taxes on International Orders
Orders shipped outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are determined by the customs authority of the destination country, not by shopleatherjackets.com, and are the responsibility of the recipient.
Customs charges, if applicable, are typically collected by the delivery carrier upon delivery or before the parcel is released from customs. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict their exact amount. We recommend checking with your local customs authority for information on applicable duties and taxes before placing your order.
Delivery times for international orders may be affected by customs processing. Any delays caused by customs clearance are outside our control and are not included in our estimated delivery timeframes.
Custom Leather Jackets
Orders placed through our custom leather jackets service may require additional production time beyond the standard 7 business day dispatch window, depending on the complexity of the build. If your custom order requires a longer production timeline, we will confirm the expected dispatch date by email before production begins.
Total delivery times for custom orders will be communicated individually at the time of order confirmation.
Order Tracking
All orders are shipped with tracked delivery. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email with your tracking number and a link to follow your delivery progress. If you have not received a tracking email within 7 business days of placing your order, check your spam folder first, then contact us at contact@shopleatherjackets.com.
Delivery Address
It is your responsibility to provide an accurate and complete delivery address at checkout. We are not liable for orders that are delayed, lost, or returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by you. If an order is returned to us because of an address error, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. Any additional shipping costs incurred will be your responsibility.
Failed and Missed Deliveries
If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the carrier will usually leave a note with instructions on how to arrange redelivery or collect your parcel from a local depot. The specific process depends on the carrier handling your delivery. If your parcel is not collected or redelivery is not arranged within the carrier’s holding period, it will be returned to us. We will contact you to arrange redelivery at your cost.
Lost or Damaged Parcels
If your parcel appears to be lost in transit, contact us at contact@shopleatherjackets.com. We will investigate with the carrier. For UK deliveries, we consider a parcel lost if it has not been delivered within 15 business days of dispatch. For EU and international deliveries, the investigation period is 25 business days from dispatch.
If the investigation confirms the parcel is lost, we will offer you the choice of a replacement or a full refund.
If your parcel arrives damaged, do not discard the packaging. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photographs of the damaged packaging and goods. We will arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with our Refund and Return Policy.
Changes to Your Order
If you need to change your delivery address or any other order detail after placing your order, contact us at contact@shopleatherjackets.com as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate changes before your order enters production or is dispatched, but we cannot guarantee changes once production has begun.
