This policy sets out your rights to cancel, return, and receive a refund for goods purchased from our website, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.

This policy applies to all orders placed through shopleatherjackets.com. It does not affect your statutory rights.

Your Right to Cancel (Standard Orders)

For standard catalogue orders where you select from our existing designs, sizes, and colours, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days. The cancellation period begins on the day after you receive the goods. If your order is delivered in multiple shipments, the cancellation period begins on the day after you receive the last item.

You may also cancel your order at any time before the goods are dispatched.

To cancel, you must inform us of your decision by contacting us at contact@shopleatherjackets.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You do not need to give a reason. We will send you an acknowledgement of your cancellation by email.

Custom Leather Jackets

Orders placed through our custom leather jackets service, where you specify bespoke measurements, materials, colours, or design details, are exempt from the right to cancel. This exemption applies under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, which exclude goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised.

Custom leather jackets are non-returnable and non-refundable except where the goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described. If your custom order has a manufacturing defect, contact us within 30 calendar days of delivery and we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.

How to Return Goods

If you exercise your right to cancel, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and in any event within 14 calendar days of informing us of your cancellation. Goods should be returned to the address provided in your cancellation confirmation email.

Returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and in the same condition as when you received them. All original tags, labels, and packaging must be intact. You may try the jacket on to check the fit, as you would in a shop, but it must not have been worn outdoors or show any signs of use, alteration, or damage.

We reserve the right to reduce the refund amount to reflect any diminished value of the goods if they have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and fit.

Return Shipping Costs

For non-defective returns where you are exercising your right to cancel, the cost of returning the goods to us is your responsibility. We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in return transit.

For defective goods, goods damaged in transit, or goods not as described, we will cover the return shipping costs. Contact us before returning defective items so we can advise on the return process.

Refunds

Once we receive your returned goods and confirm they meet the return conditions, we will process your refund within 14 calendar days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Depending on your payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account.

If you cancel before dispatch, we will process your refund within 14 calendar days of receiving your cancellation request.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you have provided evidence that you have sent the goods back, whichever is earlier.

Exchanges

We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different size, colour, or style, please return the original item for a refund under this policy and place a new order for the replacement item through the website.

Faulty, Damaged, or Misdescribed Goods

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are separate from your cancellation rights and are not affected by this policy.

If goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described, you have the right to reject them within 30 calendar days of delivery for a full refund. After 30 days and within six months of delivery, we will offer a repair or replacement in the first instance. If repair or replacement is not possible or unsuccessful, you are entitled to a full refund. After six months from delivery, you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement, or partial refund, but you will need to demonstrate that the fault was present at the time of delivery.

To report a problem, contact us at contact@shopleatherjackets.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs showing the defect or damage. We will respond within two business days to confirm the next steps.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return under the cancellation right set out in this policy:

Custom leather jackets made to your personal specifications, as described above. Gift cards and vouchers. Items that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery. Items returned without original tags, labels, or packaging.

This exclusion does not apply where goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described. Your statutory rights always apply regardless of these conditions.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received a refund within the stated timeframe, first check with your bank or payment provider, as processing times may vary. If the issue persists after checking, contact us at contact@shopleatherjackets.com with your order number and we will investigate.
